“IMPERFECTLY PERFECT” – ONE AND ALL
We are all imperfectly perfect, one and all! There are 7.8 billion people inhabiting planet earth, each of us different from the next! Even identical twins have differences in their DNA. It was thought that any differences in identical twins were attributed to personality quirks. However, Scientific American reports otherwise in an article in 2008, Identical Twins’ Genes Are Not Identical.
In this coming year Live Fat and Fit aims to help individuals to find contentment with who they are NOW, as they are, while working towards improved overall health. To help with this, we will continue to discuss both physical and mental health.
THE IMPERFECTLY PERFECT CONCEPT
I have five siblings. We were born 3 boys, followed by 3 girls. We all had loving parents and all the necessities of life. My elder siblings experienced life with young parents and the financial struggles of trying to provide for 8 people every day with one income. My sisters and I experienced older parents with some, but less financial struggle. The six of us share some common values, but have very different personalities. My family is but a microcosm of the universe in that each and everyone of us has different experiences, good or bad and each one of us processes what we learn from these experiences differently.
This result is the creation of 7.8 billion individuals who experience and perceive the world differently as they grow into who they are from infancy to childhood and on to adulthood. Not one of us is right and not one of us is not! We are all who we are meant to be, we are all imperfectly perfect.
Whether genetic makeup and life experiences have led you to a currently content place in life or not, there is work that can be done to improve that place. Each of us has the biological ability to learn and adapt. Many of us have had experiences that make that extremely difficult, but not impossible. I found this definition of perfect on Google online “having all the required and desired elements, qualities or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be.”
We are perfect and imperfect all at once. You and I are imperfectly perfect and in a state of fluctuance that can be changed as we choose, or not.
